In Malaysia people call "keminting cina" or "rumput jalang". In the UK was named "periwinkle". In China were named "chang Chunhua". In the Netherlands called "Soldaten Bloem". And in Indonesia has several regional names. The Javanese people call it "kembang tapakdoro", the Sundanese "kembang tembaga", in Sulawesi called "sindapor". According to Ir. Winarto, herbalist of Karyasari Medicinal Gardens, there are more than 70 kinds of alkaloids in all parts of the tapak dara plant. In fact, in this plant also contained the anticancer alkaloid, the active component of vinblastine and leurocristine (vincristine). Both of these compounds have antineoplastic properties, which is able to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
